Visa entry into U.S. with a criminal record.
My brother is getting married in L.A. later this year and I've been refused entry under the visa waiver program they do with Britain, I've now got to go for an appointment at the American embassy later this week. Anybody else had to go through all this shit to get out there and if so what was the appointment like.
Cheers people.

Their Doublethink always blows my mind.

On one trip, the metal detector at the airport kept going off as I walked through it having removed every conceivable metal object on me I could think of.

Turns out the sensitivity was set so high that it was going off because of a small piece of metal foil in a trouser pocket with my last piece of chewing gum in it.

If I was about to get on a plane I could understand it, but this was this was after I'd landed there. I mean what the fuck are they worried that people are arriving with if there are gun shows there selling all sorts of heavy duty weaponry with minimal screening?

This country never ceases to amaze me.

Normally intelligent men think Trump is fit to run the country. The only viable option (Hialry) is in danger of being indicted and so, at a time when the Republicans need to be in office, just to redress the balance, the two horse race is now threatening to have no horses at all.

Meanwhile, it's the home of porn but most people go to church, gun owners get shot in the back by their children because they leave loaded weapons on the back seat off cars and drug control and illegal immigration is rife.

This is a country barely in control, and the Police prefer to shoot people because they are crapping themselves or bullies.

Funny thing is I might not get visa entry now but before these new new visa requirements came in with my record I still was able to get into the White House no problem and meet the them future vibe president Joe Biden. All white teeth, he was.

A lot of Yanks dont actually believe in the rest of the world. There's Canada, which is USA (north).
There's Mexico, where everyone wants to be American.
There's Iran, which hates America for its freedom ( but they're barely human)
There's the freedom loving USA, land of the free, home of the brave), with the largest prison population, scared of every voice of opposition raised within or without their borders

Hoss if I wasn't travelling with my wife and my 4 year old boy I wouldn't have said a word, couldn't risk getting sent straight back with them.

You queue up outside then get given a no. when you get in. When no. is called you go to a window and put all your documents through then sit and wait for your no to get called again. Then it is the interview. It's all done behind a screen like at a bank. Ask you a few questions then tell you no. The fella was alright but it was pretty much a no as soon as they looked at the police certificate. I think their hands are tied with it. That's why they then push it to appeal.

Serious question... if you don't admit to anything on the waiver thing how can they stop you at the border? They dont have access to our criminal records do they? If you admit to a criminal record then of course they will fuck you off but how else can they know?
